Project Management

Quality Control

  • Our number one focus is quality. We have been supplying many of our customers with high-quality products and repeat orders for over 10 years, companies such as FLSmidth, Westech, Codelco, Freeport McMoRan, M3 Engineering, Jacobs Engineering, and many others.
  • We have given many quality control classes to our suppliers where we emphasize that the goal of the quality control department should be to perform their duties as if they were part of the customers’ QC department to ensure that all items of the specifications are met in the best interests of the customer.
  • For most projects, our customers accept our in-house QC inspections as sufficient evidence of compliance. When appropriate, we also contract or coordinate with internationally known third-party inspection companies such as Moody, Veritas, TUV Rheinland, and others to provide certified inspection reports of materials, production procedures, dimensions, and overall compliance with the terms of the contract. We welcome customer visits to ensure that we understand and meet their requirements.

On-Site Support

  • When supplying replacement parts, it is often necessary to verify dimensions to ensure that details that may be missing from OEM drawings are available, or if OEM drawings are not available, generate new drawings for fabrication.

  • We can provide on-site technical support during installation and follow-up visits to ensure that the operators have been properly trained and that on-going maintenance is being performed to maximize productivity.

Project Reporting

  • For all items sold, quality control documents are completed and submitted to the customer upon project completion. When appropriate, ITP’s (Inspection and Test Plans) are prepared and pre-approved by the customer, then updated according to the project requirements.
  • When appropriate, weekly progress reports are completed showing original dates, any date modifications with reasons for changes, reports of the week’s activities, plans for the following week, and photos as of the report date.

Documentation

  • Depending on the size of the project, typically, when the order is complete, we provide the customer with a Data Book for each major item which includes:
  • Material of construction certificates
  • Quality control reports
  • Any third party inspection reports
  • As-built drawings

Expediting

  • Our bilingual staff in Shijiazhuang (English/Chinese) is fully capable of working with our suppliers to ensure that they understand and meet our customers’ requirements. They ensure that our suppliers provide regular progress reports with photos, progress to date, and the production plan. They visit the factories to check the quality and progress, and when appropriate, coordinate with third-party inspectors or client representatives. They understand that the first priority is quality.
  • We have been fortunate that due to our insistence on quality, we have not had any failures due to materials, workmanship, or design in the over 12 years that we have been purchasing equipment and products in China. In the few instances that delivery dates were postponed, it was always due to our ensuring that all of the specifications were met.

Shipping

  • As a licensed importer/exporter, SBC can make all shipping arrangements to the customer site or coordinate shipping with the customers’ designated shipper. We are very familiar with all customs and export documentation required to ship goods from China.
